At Evoralis, we specialise in pioneering enzyme development with a mission to revolutionise plastic recycling. Spun out from the Hollfelder Lab at the University of Cambridge, our cutting-edge work focuses on creating biocatalysts that break down plastics, paving the way for a truly circular economy.
Our enzymes selectively depolymerise plastics like polyester (PET), nylon (PA), and elastane (PUR) into their original building blocks, which can then be recovered to create virgin-like materials. With a particular emphasis on the textile industry, we aim to make over 80% of textiles recyclable, including mixed and blended fibres that were previously non-recyclable.
Evoralis serves an international audience, including fashion retailers, the automotive industry, and packaging companies seeking sustainable recycling solutions. Our customers also include plastic recyclers, waste management companies, and the chemical industry, all of whom benefit from our advanced enzyme technology.
What sets us apart is our patent-pending microfluidic ultra-high-throughput screening platform, developed at the University of Cambridge. This innovative platform allows us to discover and optimise the most effective enzymes at an unprecedented pace. Combined with cutting-edge bioinformatics, we significantly reduce the time from discovery to market, enabling the development of tailored enzymes for specific plastics, including those with additives and contaminants.
Our capital-light business model, which focuses on enzyme sales and licensing of bioprocess know-how, allows us to scale quickly. This ensures that our groundbreaking enzymes can rapidly make an impact across the textile industry and beyond, supporting a sustainable future through advanced recycling technologies.
Join us in transforming the future of plastic recycling. Whether you're in fashion, automotive, or packaging, Evoralis can help you achieve your sustainability goals with our innovative enzyme solutions.
